We have been in business since 2004.
My Roots...
When did I first fall in love with cooking?
Growing up in New Orleans, La. with a family that loves good gatherings and great food, I began a life-long love affair with all things culinary. Both of my grandmothers could take any ingredients in the fridge and pantry and create a culinary masterpiece. So I began to experiment with different food, flavors, and types of cuisine.
My mother bakes this pecan bundt cake that I still can't duplicate and my father makes this Shrimp dish that we don't even have a name for except DELICIOUS! You don't want to know what he calls it!
Then, I met my wonderful husband John, whose family has a rich background in vegetarian cooking. Anything that I can prepare, John can make it vegetarian. Everyone who knows us can tell you that they love to come over and watch us compete in the kitchen. On those days, there's plenty of great food and good laughs!
I began Posh PCS, with a passion for cooking and pleasing and pampering everyone who tastes my food. I not only love cooking, but also sharing, teaching the abundance of knowledge, wisdom, & recipes that I have acquired through the years. My other passion is collecting all types of cookbooks & recipes from which I can create a menu to suit just about anyone. Naturally, I love to cook creole & cajun food, but I have come to love all types of food from many different backgrounds.
What’s in a name?
After careful thought, I chose the name Posh because it means-classy, elegant, fashionable, & smart. Posh is what I represent in my demeanor, my service, & most of all my food.
What I've Learned, Where I've worked...
I attended The Culinary Institute at Chattahoochee Technical College where I earned a degree in Culinary Arts. I graduated from Business NOW, a micro-enterprise business program sponsered by Goodwill Industries of North Georgia. I have worked at some of Atlanta’s finest country clubs including Atlanta National County Club & White Columns Country Club both located in Alpharetta, Georgia. I also worked at Events Catering Company. I am ServSafe Certified with the National Restaurant Association & a Certified Culinarian with the American Culinary Federation, most of all I am committed to providing high-quality, healthy food to all that desire it.
